Henry Barraclough, bachelor, farrier, and Sarah Emma Coles, spinster, both of full age, were married at the parish church in the Parish of St Botolph Without Bishopsgate, London on June 25, 1843. The marriage was witnessed by John Clark and Jane Witt (1).

This was a previously unknown marriage by Sarah Emma Coles, my 3 × great grandmother. Though claiming she was of full age, Sarah would have been about 19 years of age at the time of her marriage to Henry. It is interesting to note that at her subsequent marriage to Thomas Sanders (1848), Sarah married under her maiden name.
