Jane Draper, d.1850

Jane Draper, wife of David Draper, formerly a shoemaker, died at Chase Side on March 13, 1850, aged 68 years. The cause of death was certified as chronic bronchitis (3 months).

The above information was provided to the registrar, William Clayton Sawyer, on March 18, 1850, by Charlotte Harnett, resident at Market Place, Enfield Town, who was present at the death (1).

Jane Draper (née Catling) was my 5 × great grandmother. Charlotte Harnett can be found in the 1851 census living with her sister Hannah Hartley in Enfield Town. She is recorded as a widow, formerly a shoemaker’s wife.
