The above information was provided to the registrar, J. L. Gawler, on December 11, 1838, by James Joseph Hancock, father, of 45 Vauxhall Walk, St Mary’s (1).

Eliza’s mother, Hannah Hancock, was to die of consumption one and a half months later on December 31, 1838.
